Keep Being Creative – September Challenge – Day 6, September 6 2020
Creativity can happen in small bites. I didn’t feel like making anything spectacular today. Instead, I added a little zing to some envelopes using stamps from the Thinking Of You set from The Stamping Village. If you haven’t heard of them, they have some really great sets and you get unique stamps from a variety of designers. I only own the Thinking Of You set, but it is great for cards or envelopes.
I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp on envelopes I’ve had since making my own wedding invitations. Well, that was about 18 years ago. At least envelopes don’t go bad! They have a slight linen texture to them, so the images weren’t super crisp, but I used my We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced stamping platform and was able to get a decent image.

My personal favorite stamp from this set is probably the Hang In There and sloth from Pink and Main. I colored these with my alcohol-based Arteza Everblend Art Markers. I have a set of 60, so there aren’t a lot of variations in brown shades, but I think I did okay. What is it that makes sloths so adorable?!
In addition I used the Sending Hugs from Studio Katia, You’re In My Thoughts from Concord & 9th, Thinking of You from Avery Elle, and Sending Happy Thought from Dare 2B Artzy and now I have a bunch of envelopes prepped for the next bunch of cards I need to send.

I love that 100% of the profits from this set goes to Save the Children COVID19 response fund to support their efforts and mission.

I especially love how even if you only end up with a few minutes to Keep Being Creative products like these give you just that little option to do a quick stamp and color. I hope this inspires you to just do one thing today to give yourself a creative boost.
