Keep Being Creative – September Challenge – Day 7, September 7 2020
I’m not sure what it is about September, but so many people in my life have a birthday this month. I really should have been making birthday cards all of August just to be ready. Some of these will go out on time, others will be a little behind, but it’s the thought that counts.
I needed some quick cards, and that is when I turn to my Queen and Company supplies. Between their Sentiment Stackers and Foundation Dies, you can put a lot of great looking cards together quickly. I’m still working on my techniques and workflow, but I’m starting to figure out workflow. Card sketches help a lot for inspiration as well. Check out the Queen and Company Idea Gallery for ideas, or Pinterest is helpful too.

I was able to create these two cards pretty quickly. I used Accent Opaque Digital 120lb. Cover Smooth for the card bases. The card fronts came together from the Wish Big Sentiment Stacker Kit for the Word Dies, Stamps, and Pattern and Colored Paper along with Foundation Dies Sets 1, 2, and 3. Some of the bling was from Queen and Company, the rest were in my Scraprack stash.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the Happy, Happy, Happy flags which I hand cut. I used Scotch ATG double-sided adhesive tape, Queen and Company Sheer Glue, and some adhesive foam I had on hand. The Birthday words were cut from Queen and Company adhesive Glitter and Fun Foam, I just love the pop those provide.
The cutout stars needed a little something as the shade of blue didn’t quite match with the paper used for the scalloped rectangle, so I used my Wink of Stella in Clear Gold. It doesn’t show up well in the photo, however I love the hint of sparkle it adds in person.
These cards will be sent out tomorrow for birthdays that are next week. More birthday card production will be happening over the next few days. I hope you’re ready to Keep Being Creative with me!
